Central Group embraces the world of art through its support of Southeast Asian artists at the "Biennale Arte 2024" in Venice, the world's most prestigious art festival

"Art" is a universal language that portrays boundless feelings, cultures, and stories. Everyone on the planet can benefit from its priceless ability to convey meaning to one another.

Central Group values art and is eager to support the Collateral Event of the 60th International Art Exhibition | Biennale Arte 2024 in Venice, Italy - the world's longest-running and most recognized international contemporary art event. Central Group is bringing two pieces of art by Thai and Filipino artists selected by Prof. Dr. Apinan Poshyananda, Artistic Director and Chief Executive of Bangkok Art Biennale. Their art had previously been presented in Thailand. It reveals identities that reflect ideas, worldviews, and cultures, as well as encouraging art enthusiasts to explore artwork from around the world. This event is taking place from 20 April to 24 November 2024.

“We are dedicated to elevating Southeast Asian artists’ creations to an international level across a wide range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, architecture, mixed media, digital, video, and other forms of art. Central Group feels proud and honored to collaborate with the Bangkok Art Biennale Foundation to support the Collateral Event of the 60th International Art Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia, themed Spirit of Maritime Crossing.” Our support of the event to showcase the artwork is our first step in expressing the Central Group's intentions to promote both Thai and foreign art.”

Punn Chirakiti, Artistic Director of Central Group

The exceptional modern pieces created by the two artists chosen for the exhibition consist of:

A Symphony Dyed Blue

by Praew-Kawita Vatanajyankur

A modern Thai artist with a distinct way of expressing her work. Her artwork was inspired by the documentary "River Blue," which highlights some of the most polluted rivers in the world and how the chemical dyes used in the industry have harmed them.

14 Stations of the Cross

by Alwin Reamillo

A contemporary Filipino artist whose work has been exhibited in many countries, including Thailand, at the Jing Jai Gallery in the Jing Jai Market in Chiang Mai. It is a series of mixed-media box works designed to resemble enormous wooden matchboxes that serve as shrines or altars and represent ideas about the history of Christianity and the Catholic Church, serving as a kind of reminder to everybody.

Central Group is prepared to play a significant role in advancing imaginative artistic endeavors and enabling distinctively styled artists to succeed on the global scene. Furthermore, it is getting ready to unveil the newest project that is sure to stir up interest in the global art scene. This is expected to be made public by 2025.
