Suthisarn Chirathivat, Chief Executive Officer of CRC Thai Watsadu Ltd, has been named Executive of the Year 2019 in the category of Business Administration and Development by the Foundation for Thai Society.
The awards were presented by Privy Councillor Air Chief Marshal Chalit Phukphasuk at the Air Force Auditorium on Phahonyothin Road, Bangkok.
This award recognises top-level executives from both private and public sectors with outstanding performances in terms of business administration and development, who also serve as good role models for the society as a whole. The criteria are set in accordance with the core concept of Best Practice Awards to recognise individuals with outstanding career success and participation in or contribution to the development of the nation and the society. Having taken charge as CEO of Thai Watsadu since 2008, Suthisarn has established a strong foundation, initiated ideas, and shaped the company into what it is today, a one-stop home improvement centre that offers a comprehensive range of home improvement products and services - from construction and decoration to renovation. Boasting the slogan “All about Home Improvement at Reasonable Prices”, the brand has taken less than 10 years to reach 49 stores nationwide and become recognised as one of the leaders in the modern trade market.Additionally, the company also introduced its new brand“baan & BEYOND” in 2013 to offer a wider selection of home improvement products with great quality and competitive prices along with services and solutions that respond to the changing consumer behaviour such as vFIX.
Apart from 6 baan & BEYOND home improvement stores located across big cities, the company also made a move in 2018 to expand its fast-fit business by introducing one-stop auto service centres under the brand “Auto 1” at four of the Thai Watsadu stores to address the demand from the growing auto market.Under the leadership of Suthisarn, the company aims not only at achieving business success and sustainability but also maintaining good governance and contributing to the society both directly and indirectly through various activities. It has supplied construction materials to numerous organisations that strive for the betterment of society in addition to its projects, such as construction of school buildings and libraries, and donation of electrical appliances to schools in Udon Thani, Samut Songkhram, Buriram, Phrae, and Trang provinces.
