Bangkok, September 15, 2024 — The year’s most spectacular charity running event, the “Central Group Mini Marathon” Year 16, under the theme Siren Run by Skechers. Organized by Central Group, the event brought together professional runners, amateurs, and various running clubs in a vibrant display of community spirit along Bangkok's bright morning streets. Proceeds from ticket sales will be used to purchase an emergency ambulance for the National Cancer Institute and support other social development and quality of life projects. The event took place on the morning of Sunday, September 15, in front of CentralWorld.
Ms.Busaba Chirathivat, Central Group Advisor, stated, “Central Group is committed to continuously promoting sports by encouraging Thais to focus on their health through exercise. We are continuing the ‘Central Group Mini Marathon’ charity run, one of the largest city center running events, for the 16th year under the theme Siren Run By Skechers. Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards purchasing an emergency ambulance for the National Cancer Institute. This year, the event received an excellent response from thousands of runners, both Thai and international, as well as from various running clubs. and a fun costume competition that brought many smiles.
Central Group is the first retailer in Thailand to initiate charity running programs since 2007, continuing under our sustainability initiative ‘Central Tham’. This year, we also had the honor of collaborating with Roje Phuphawit Kritpolnara, founder of the fashion brand ISSUE, and renowned typographic artist BeerPitch to design the shirts, medals, and trophies, all of which are beautifully crafted and full of energy to share positive vibes with each other.”
